“The Shadow”
Created using Watercolor Graphite on Parchment Paper in 2024
The shadow watches, silent and patient, its weight a tether to the earth.
To lose it is to slip from yourself, to become untethered…a ghost in your own skin. Shadows are not merely absence; they are the mirrors of what remains unseen, the parts of us we try to outrun but never truly leave behind.
Within that shadow lies the echo of your inner child, small and fragile, yet infinite in its longing. It reaches for you with quiet hands, asking not to be forgotten but to be held.
To lose your shadow is to risk losing that child and to sever the thread between who you were and who you’ve become. And yet, the child waits. Silent. Patient. Always within reach, if only you would turn and look.
